FutureQuest Increases Network Capacity (October 30, 2002) - Web hosting provider FutureQuest Inc. (FutureQuest.net) recently announced that it has made a major increase in the available capacity and redundancy of its already-sizeable network.

FutureQuest says it has added multiple new routes, configuring each with BGP4 and full global IP routing views. Newly-installed DS-3 connectivity from Internap, including provisions from AT&T, Cable & Wirelesss, Qwest, Genuity, Sprint, UUNET, Verio and Global Crossing, will ensure a reliable path is chosen for each individual connection, says the company.
Internap uses its ASsimilator software to collect and process data, detecting network failures and other barriers and routing traffic past congestion points using the most direct and reliable path.
Along with the new Internap intelligent routing services, FutureQuest says it has introduced multiple new carrier-class routers configured with BGP4 protocol and full global IP routing views to the FutureQest Network.
"A lot of hosts these days refuse to take the blame for downtime by pawning the problem off on their upstream providers," says Debbie Gillespie, CEO of FutureQuest. "FutureQuest isn't interested in the blame game. Instead, as a host who believes it is accountable for the services it provides, we are taking proactive steps to ensure failures, regardless of location or fault, do not affect the continued flow of client's data."
