CM4all Helps Hostpoint Add Languages (October 10, 2008) - Swiss Web hosting provider Hostpoint AG (www.hostpoint.ch) has launched its "web-o-mat" version of CM4all's (www.cm4all.com) the website building software in three additional language versions.

According to Hostpoint's Friday announcement, more than 35,000 of 55,000 Hostpoint customers are using the premium CM4all website builder and with the launch of French, Italian and English versions, Hostpoint will be expanding its market presence in Switzerland, which has four official languages.

"In order for Hostpoint to remain the leader in Switzerland's Web hosting industry, we need to be able to offer our customers customized and localized services that create added value using the latest technology," Hostpoint founder and chief marketing officer Claudius Röllin said in a statement. "Harnessing the unrivalled multi-language capabilities of CM4all's technology allows us to broaden our portfolio and successfully expand our market reach in Switzerland and later, across Europe."

Founded in 2001, Hostpoint started its partnership with CM4all in 2004. Six months after its launch, Hostpoint reported 12,000 customers were using CM4all's WebsiteCreator technology to create and maintain their websites.

"Our four year partnership with Hostpoint demonstrates that including value added services in the product portfolio achieves convincing and enduring results", said Robert Schovenberg, CEO of CM4all parent company CM-AG. "We know that our customers prefer to obtain several premium quality customized services from a single provider which will support their expansions on a global scale."

CM4all's technology is based on a high-speed XML application server and operated on an ASP model. WebsiteCreator is adapted for and licensed to individual OEM partners and is available in more than 15 different languages.

Hostpoint also announced plans to integrate additional CM4all products as well as feature updates and enhancements for the core website building software in the near future.

Hostpoint to Use Open-Xchange (September 20, 2007) - Open source email solutions provider Open-Xchange (open-xchange.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed a new strategic partnership with Switzerland-based Web hosting provider Hostpoint (hostpoint.ch), helping to push Hostpoint into the software as a service market.

Later this year, Hostpoint will replace the Web mail system for its 250,000 email accounts with a new Web mail module from Open-Xchange, which uses an innovative AJAX Web interface to deliver new features and improved usability. Hostpoint says it will also offer additional Open-Xchange modules enabling users to seamlessly upgrade to a full-featured collaboration solution.

Following the partnership with 1&1 Internet, this partnership further validates Open-Xchange's strategy to serve the small-to-medium enterprise market. Open-Xchange says it is committed to supply the SME market with quality email and collaboration solutions through Internet service providers and Web hosting companies like Hostpoint.

"Web hosters, Internet service providers and telecoms are perfectly positioned to meet the growing demand for new applications from millions of SMEs by leveraging their current customer relationships and infrastructures and by offering improved Web mail and new groupware capabilities over the simple webmail in place today," says Gerald Labie, CEO of Open-Xchange. "By making Open-Xchange Smart Collaboration easily available with our partners, we are helping to transform the way people communicate that simplifies their everyday work, life and social interaction."
