Jumpline Celebrates 10 Years (May 10, 2007) - Web hosting provider Jumpline.com (jumpline.com) announced on Wednesday that it is launching a promotion in celebration of its tenth year in the business.
Jumpline says it is launching a progressive dedicated server offering to complement its existing shared and VDS hosting models. All Jumpline dedicated servers will come pre-installed with the Sphera SaaS delivery suite, which provides key components to building a successful SaaS business, says the company.
"Very few private hosting companies have lasted 10 years. We value our independence and loyal clientele and after 10 years we remain debt free and profitable," says Bob Kaufman, executive VP of Jumpline. "The organic growth of Jumpline over the past decade has put us in the driver's seat and enables us to happily reject all suitors. The next 10 years will be even better."
Founded in April of 1997 by former high school classmates Marc Hardgrove, Bob Kaufman and Rick Barber, Jumpline says it currently hosts over 20,000 Web sites.
Jumpline Offers New Hosting Package (January 18, 2007) - Web hosting provider Jumpline.com (jumpline.com) and Virtual Mechanics (virtualmechanics.com) announced on Thursday the availability of their Home and Home Office Startup Package, a software and service bundle that combines a Windows-based visual Web site publisher and full-featured year-long Web hosting package.
Individuals and small businesses can build their Web sites using site building software, SiteSpinner, a Windows-based visual Web site publisher designed to be easy for beginners, but with powerful features that they can grow into. The latest release includes forms creation capabilities, advanced layout options for object placement and sizing, the ability to create navigational drop-down menus and support for thumbnail-triggered pop-up photo galleries.
In addition, customers will receive a full year of Jumpline's J2 hosting service, which includes a dedicated IP address, 2 GB of disk space, the ability to host up to 20 separate Web sites, virtual dedicated server technology, more than 25 integrated applications, three-tiered daily backups and around-the-clock customer phone and online support.
Whether the site is for the family, church, troop, band, club or business, Jumpline says the Home and Home Office Startup Package makes it easy to build Web sites and host them on a reliable system. The $49 package contains a single-user license for SiteSpinner V2.7 including unlimited V2 updates, unlimited online support, a printable manual and one year of Jumpline's J2 Hosting Service.
Jumpline, France Telecom, Pair Top List (August 11, 2005) - Jumpline (jumpline.com), France Telecom (domicile.fr) and Pair Networks (pair.com) had the most reliable Web hosting company Web sites in July, according to data published by research and analysis firm Netcraft (netcraft.com). InetU, Yahoo! and Go Daddy followed the top three in positions four through six. Hostway, British Telecom, Netcetera and Deutsche Telekom rounded out the top ten. Linux and FreeBSD each run on three sites in the top 10. Windows runs on two while Solaris 10 runs on another. One of the top 10 site's operating system was not known. Netcraft measures the response times of fifty leading Web hosting provider Web sites. The performance measurements are made at fifteen-minute intervals from eight points on the Internet. Averages are calculated over the immediately preceding 24-hour period. Pair topped Netcraft's reliability list earlier this year in February.
