NEXCESS.NET Announces Magento Cluster Hosting Solutions (March 1, 2011) - Company offers a new line of managed cluster solutions designed to work specifically for web sites that use the Magento shopping cart platform.

NEXCESS.NET, a provider of shared hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and server clusters, yesterday announced a new line of managed cluster solutions designed to work specifically for web sites that use the Magento shopping cart platform.

The company states that its fresh options for Magento cluster hosting are designed with the scalability needs of large, enterprise clients in mind, providing the technical platform for limitless growth potential on successful Magento shops. Additionally, these complex hosting arrangements will provide increased security measures to protect sensitive financial data via private firewall and intrusion detection appliances, the securing of database and file servers behind the company's private network, and private VPN access for the site's owners.

It mentions that in addition to scalability and security features of the company's new Magento cluster solutions, clients that take advantage of this service will also now receive the company's Content Delivery Network (CDN) for their static content, which drastically improves performance of Magento web sites by reducing the latency seen by the end user.

"Over the past ten years we've studied the needs of some of the most successful eCommerce shops on the web," commented Chris Wells, President and CEO of NEXCESS.NET. "By applying that experience, I think we've really met a wide array of pretty crucial requirements seen by even the most unique Magento shops in these solutions."

NEXCESS.NET Announces Content Delivery Network (CDN) Service (February 21, 2011) - New offering will bring dramatically improved web performance to the company's customer sites.

NEXCESS.NET, a provider of shared hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and server clusters, today announced the availability of content delivery network (CDN) service to its hosting customers. The CDN service is powered by EdgeCast Networks, a rich media content delivery network.

The company articulates that its CDN service is designed to significantly improve web site performance by reducing physical distance, and in turn, latency, between the server and end user. It also reduces the distance from a network topology standpoint, ensuring that content requested by end users is always served by the server that will perform best for that user. Customers of the CDN service should see improved global performance over traditional web hosting thanks to the delivery of static user content from servers in 19 points of presence, distributed between North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

It states that in addition to performance improvements seen directly in the user experience, customers of the company's content delivery network should experience a number of other advantages over traditional hosting. This includes decreased load on servers that host dynamic content, and improved rankings with search engines such as Google, which has specifically cited site performance as a factor in calculating a site's ranking.

"We feel that our customers will see significant benefits in leveraging the advantages of CDN hosting for their static content," commented Chris Wells, President & CEO of NEXCESS.NET. "As time goes on, the web is becoming less forgiving of slow web sites, and studies have repeatedly proven that end users gravitate towards content with the fastest load times."

NEXCESS.NET Integrates R1Soft's CDP (November 2, 2009) - Company expands its backup services making R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) available to its entire client base.

NEXCESS.NET, a provider of shared hosting, dedicated servers, colocation and server clusters, today announced the expansion of its backup services making R1Soft Continuous Data Protection (CDP) available to its entire client base. The company avers that R1Soft's enterprise-level backup solution protects its client's mission-critical data on Linux and Windows servers with near-continuous, disk-based backups which can be scheduled as often as every 15 minutes.

It adds that clients will also benefit from maximum uptime with Bare-Metal Restores, which skip the OS reinstallation step, allowing data to be recovered from any point-in-time backup within minutes. The company states that it will offer R1Soft backup access through the newly integrated InterWorx Control Panel to all shared hosting clients for free and will be offering managed backup services to its VPS and dedicated clients as well.

It explains that R1Soft's disk-based CDP software works by reading data at the sector level and only recording data that has changed since the last backup. This type of incremental backups empowers the company with the ability to offer clients high-performance backup services they can truly depend on without experiencing a negative impact on server performance.

"Our initial deployment of R1Soft demonstrated how easy-to-use the software was and how simply it just worked. The recent integration of R1Soft CDP with the InterWorx control panel was crucial to our backup services expansion because now we can centralize our entire backup system and provide a more complete offering for our clients. We are very pleased with the outcome and anticipate even further expansion if all goes accordingly," said Chris Wells, CEO of NEXCESS.NET.
