| speedfox.com news | Alentus Acquires Two Web Hosts (April 23, 2008) - Web hosting provider Alentus (alentus.com), which is owned by Web hosting equity firm EnActen, announced on Wednesday that it has acquired Linux-based Web hosting providers Website Source (websitesource.com) and SpeedFox (speedfox.com). The financial details of the cash and stock transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1998 and based in Austin, Texas, Website Source and its subsidiary SpeedFox, which was founded in 2002, offer Linux-based shared hosting, virtual private servers, dedicated servers, e-commerce and domain registration services. Website Source operates a Cisco-powered data center facility in Austin and manages over 200 servers, says the press release.
Alentus says that the acquisition immediately adds $2.6 million in annual revenue to its current long-term profitable operations record and will add an additional 14,000 clients to its client portfolio. The current Website Source infrastructure is being integrated into the Alentus global, redundant Cisco-powered network and all Texas staff has been retained, says Alentus.
"This acquisition provides a stable and solid addition of Linux powered Web hosting to the Alentus client base," says William King, CEO of Alentus. "And at the same time, it offers Windows hosting options to Website Source and SpeedFox clients. We are pleased with how the companies complement one another and look forward to growing our client base by offering a more complete menu of website hosting services to the Internet community."

SpeedFox Offers New Hosting Plans (June 26, 2006) - Web hosting provider and Website Source (websitesource.com) subsidiary, SpeedFox (speedfox.com) announced on Monday it is launching new hosting plans that will enable Web masters to host unlimited domains for $4.95 a month.
SpeedFox Web hosting plans have no setup fees and include e-commerce software, free domain move service, a dedicated IP address, Web site templates, spam filters and 24-hour toll-free phone or online support. Additional IP addresses can be purchased for $5 a month.
"Website Source hosting plans are geared more towards the business client with sophisticated add-ons and additional features," says Stephanie Rosendahl, CEO of Website Source. "The SpeedFox plans are more suited for the budget web hosting market. Both hosting companies offer a 'clean' dedicated IP address for free and additional IPs can be obtained for $5 per month."
Established by parent company Website Source in 2002, SpeedFox offers affordable Web hosting services to Web masters including email, free Web tools, Web page design tools, Internet marketing, site builders and Web site templates.
