Navega Picks Terremark Data Center - Managed IT infrastructure provider and data center operator Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com) announced on Tuesday that Central America-based data carrier Navega.com (navega.com) has signed a new multi-year hosting deal with Terremark. Britain to Ban Gambling Site Ads - Britain plans to ban advertising from around 1,000 gambling Web sites located in countries that do not meet the UK government's regulatory standards, which would include sites from some of the most popular countries hosting online gambling operations. The new law, which will go into effect September 1, required countries that wanted to be excused from the ad ban to pass a UK assessment of their regulatory standards, including protections to cease underage gambling and maintain fair wagering. The ad ban does not apply to countries in the European Economic Area. Costa Rica and Belize, two of the hottest spots in the world for online gambling operations, did not bother to apply, while Antigua, which is home to more than 500 online gambling sites, has a pending application with the UK.
