The February DreamHost newsletter is finally here! Which leads me to
my next point...

Look, it's March 11th. Josh's birthday was March 4th and nobody's had
the heart to tell him that the party's over. There's moldy sandwiches
on the table, empty pizza boxes spilling over onto the floor, and
he won't let anyone near the Xbox until he five-stars Freebird on hard.
In his underwear.

Be that as it may, the newsletter MUST GO ON. I took it upon myself
to "gain access" to his account to bring this newsletter to you, the
feature-hungry masses.

We've added a new application to our one-click install platform:

You may have heard of Status.net in its early days when it was called
"laconi.ca".

Status.net is a microblogging platform - just like Twitter! Except
that, unlike Twitter, Status.net is completely open-source and you can
run your entire microblog privately - hidden from the world - if
that's your sort of thing.

3. NEW: DreamHost PS Memory Doubling!

Within the next few days we'll begin cutting the per-MB price for our
easy-to-use, quick-to-configure DreamHost PS servers from $0.10 down to
just $0.05 per MB. The entry-level price of $15 isn't changing, but
the base package will now include 300MB, rather than 150MB of usable
memory.

This change will be reflected on your next bill if you've currently got
a Private Server with us. You'll be paying the same amount of money,
but you'll receive *double* the resources! This might be a good
opportunity for you to lower your resource allocation to save some cash
if you don't need the upgrade.

(The upper limit is 4000MB, so if you were already configured to use
more than 2000MB, you'll soon be maxed out at 4000MB.)

It's never been easier to move to a Private Server from DreamHost. You
can adjust resources on-the-fly, get pretty graph views of your
server's usage, and even switch between Apache, Lighttpd, and Nginx at
the click of a button. And, because it's your own private server, you
can customize it to your heart's content with an Admin User... or sit
back and let us handle everything for you!

4. NEW: Rewards Page Improvements

Due to popular demand from some of our affiliates, we've made some
changes to the referral reports that appear on your web panel.

You can now view in a tabular format all of your referrals for the last
two days, the last week, the last month, and the last year. It's also
broken down into unique clicks vs signups to determine your conversion
rate.

This is all very helpful data to have if you're experimenting with
different promotion strategies to get the most bang for your buck!
