1. New .LA DoMAIn Name Exclusive - Part 2!

MAYbe (ha!) you remember last month's newsletter where I announced
something cool for Happy DreamHost Customers and .la doMAYns (ha!) ? I
think I said there'd be an announcement on Cinco de MAYo (i.e. I'd be
standing on five jars of MAYonnaise when I announced it). Well, let's
just say "the Hellmanns is on the floor", if you know what I mean!

2. New Filter Features!

There are two new improvements this month to our e-MAYl filtering stuff
in the "MAYl > Filters" section of our web panel!

For one, you can now have a filter just add something to the subject of
all messages it matches. So, now for example you can have spams left in
your inbox, but with a big "[SPAM]" in each subject! This makes it easier
to MAnuallY (cough cough) scan your inbox and double-check a message
really is garbage before you delete it.

The other new filter feature is something which "MAYmes" all incoming
messages, removing HTML and _all_ attachments. What that means is, if
you turn on the new "convert messages to plain text" option, you will no
longer be in any danger of getting any eMAYl viruses, crazy HTML
messages, or really any sort of interesting eMAYl at all! Truly a
godsend for public company addresses (e.g. sales, support, info) and
old-school eMAYl snobs alike!

I believe these filters will help lead to less MAYlbox MAYhem for all!

3. New Rewards Features!

Hey Happy DreamHost Rewards-Active Customers! We love you! Much more

So we MAYde (oh yeah!) you some new features! Now at our rewards area you
can track your entire rewards history (all payments made, all cash outs,
and all allocations to your DreamHost bill).. so you MAYke sure we're not

And.. we know some of you have been disMAYed that you couldn't allocate
rewards whenever you wanted (we automatically did it when it was time to
rebill you). So now you can do that too, right there on our Rewards page,
at any time of the day or night or even dusk or dawn!

4. FREE DreamHost License Plate Frames - Part 2!

Thanks a lot to everybody who sent in their jokes last month to claim
the 120 FREE DreamHost License Plate Frames we gave away! We've already
sent all the frames away to the winners (and man, the jokes came fast..
we received over 200 in the first day!) so, if you haven't received one
yet, I'm sorry but that means your joke wasn't funny. No just kidding,
it means it was too slow! In case anybody was wondering, the funniest
joke was "Horse walks into a bar. Bartender says 'Why the long face?'".

Oh man, that's rich!

Sooo, what's all this got to do with MAY's newsletter, Josh? Well, we've
got a special little BONUS promotion. Unfortunately, it's only open to
those ten dozen lucky blokes and blokettes who got the frames. Here's
the deal.. you now take some pictures of your car actually WEARING the
license plate frame, and make a little website up for it. Send us the
URL of that site (DreamHosted, of course!) to stories@dreamhost.com and
next newsletter we'll announce the winners of these prizes:

Gold: $10 DH Gift Certificate - to the most expensive-looking car!
Silver: $50 DH Gift Certificate - to the most average-looking car!

Make sure the page at least has a good overall picture of the car, and

This month's DreamHost Site of The Month winner is Andrew Meehan's site:

Which is a MAYze of cool-looking car designs and other stuff he's done!
Hopefully we'll see one of them next month wearing a swanky DreamHost
license plate..

And why the name for the site?

"Via Celli is the name of the street which I lived on when I lived in
the small town of Teramo, Italy. The year that I spent in Italy proved
to be a life-altering experience, and one that I consider a sort of
"rebirth" for me. The work that you see on this site is the result of
the wide-ranging experiences I have had since that year's renaissance.

Plus, it sounded cool."

So, he named his website after the street he lived on! Cool.. I never
noticed it before, but that explains a lot of seemingly random doMAYns!
