ICANN-Accredited Registrars Formally Approve ICANN Registrar Fees for 2002-2003 - July 26, 2002 - Twenty-eight accredited registrars, responsible for over 75% of registrar fees, have expressly approved the registrar contributions to ICANN for Fiscal Year 2002-2003 that are set forth in the Fiscal Year 2002–2003 Budget that was adopted by the ICANN Board at its 28 June 2002 meeting in Bucharest. This level of registrar support satisfies the requirement in ICANN's Registrar Accreditation Agreement that ICANN's variable fees from registrars must be expressly approved by enough registrars to account for two-thirds of all the registrar fees to be paid. ICANN's Fiscal Year 2002-2003 Budget was developed in consultation with the Budget Advisory Group – including three members from the Registrars Constituency. As in years past, ICANN Accredited Registrars will contribute to ICANN's budget through both yearly fixed accreditation fees and quarterly variable accreditation fees. The yearly fees have been set at US$4,000 for the first top-level domain for which a registrar is accredited, plus US$500 for each additional top-level domain. The variable fees are described in the budget document. The following registrars have expressly approved the variable registration fees for 2002-2003: 007Names, Inc.

The former site administrator for our web site has been getting e-mails from these people, warning that the registration will expire in January. My contact e-mail address changed two years ago. I lost my account password, and have tried to get these people to do a password reset for the past 3 weeks, so I can get into the account to change the address. They refuse to reset my password, unless I supply them with a "business license". [...]

Kal ( technology33614@y... ) | I have been trying to reach the support staft for over 3 weeks by phone and email. Horrible service they haven't responded to any of my emails and I wait for 3-4 hours for someone to pick up the phone and NOTHING, I get frustraited and I end up hanging up.

000domains stole a domain of mine, holding it hostage for a number of years while hosting ads on it. The domain had been close to its expiry date, and 000domains blocked me from renewing it. It was still in my name, but I did not have access to it in my account. This continued for years (they wanted me to pay some ransom to get it back, but I didn't as I wasn't that desperate for it back).
They also have tried to block transferring other of my domains to [...]

Ian ( lists@d... ) | This company used to be excellent but has recently gone _severely_ downhill. I resold domains through them, but they started sending emails directly to my clients trying to trick them into renewing domains straight through them and months in advance. If you plan to resell, know that 000Domains will send billing emails to both the Owner AND Billing contact.
Also I am no longer able to edit any of the settings on the domains that I created for my clients in the control panel. I have to call [...]
