Network infrastructure
Network infrastructure consist of two Cisco routers interconnected with 2 Gbps etherchannels in a circle with 4x Gbps SFP optic uplinks into Cisco switches. Subnets are separated in to VLAN, so that they are completely independent. The two previously mentioned Cisco routers are linked through two independent lines to NIX.CZ network, transit connecitivity flows through two independent Gbps uplinks, one to Interoute, second to Dial Telecom. Electric backup supply is ensured with Cummins dieselgenerator, dieselgenerator SDMO 200 and UPS. Visitors are welcome to our data center.
We have our own fully equipped server house, located in the centre of the capital city of Prague, at the Stimbuilding complex, Vinohradská třída. The server house is located high above the flood area, right at the connection point NIX.cz. If you would like to see our server house you can easily reach us by the subway. We are located approximately 30 meters from the subway station Želivského. If you drive a car, the entrance gate is located on Votická street. You should have no problem finding a parking space inside the complex.
Server room No.1 is equipped with a rack system, suitable for smaller servers such as miniITX, microTower, midiTower and Tower. All customers with proper authorization may enter these rooms. If you require a higher level of security, we can provide safety boxes offering maximum security and eliminating physical access to your server.
Server room No. 2 is mainly designed for rack cabinets and servers. The room is smaller than server room No. 1, but offers a more powerful cooling system (up to 5kW per each rack). Thanks to a smaller number of clients, this room offers higher security as the number of persons who may enter this room is limited.
Server room No. 3 is the newest and most modern. It is mainly for clients with their own or a rented rack. The biggest advantage of this room is better cooling distribution and that the rack cables are placed securely underneath the floor.
Power supplies are fully backed up. Short power blackouts are covered by several uninterrupted power supply units UPS 70 NET 40/33. UPS units supply the energy but also protect the network from power peaks and surges that may occur. Long-term power blackouts are covered with two independent diesel power generators. The client sector and the network part of the server house is supplied with a SDMO 200 power generator. The technical part such as lighting devices and air-conditioning systems are powered by a Cummins power generator.
Structured cable wiring is essential for any server house.
