Host Color Offers Com, Net, Org Domain Registration for $8.80 Web hosting provider Host Color (www.hostcolor.com) has reduced its domain registration fee to $8.80 per year for its com, net and org domains as part of a promotional campaign which expires on March 30, 2009. This offer includes domain transfers to Host Color, letting new customers extend their subscription period for another year for $8.80. The coupon code for the offer is "DOM0309". As a part of the promotional campaign, Host Color has also added a free "who is" privacy shield to each domain name, regularly priced at $1.95 per year. Host Color is also still running a valentines day-themed 15 percent discount promotion on its shared, virtual private server and dedicated hosting, using the coupon code "HOSTINGLOVE2009" until February 28th, 2009. It is offering a free SSL certificate with its VPS Power package and an instant 10 percent rebate on Drupal and Social Web hosting plans. Eleven2 Rolls Out 25 Percent Off "Stimulus Plan" Apparently not to be topped by the US president, shared and reseller hosting provider eleven2 (www.eleven2.com) is offering 25 percent off any plan at sign-up until the end of February. This discount lets shared customers have the potential to save up to $125, and resellers save up to $256. "With all of the economic trouble lately, we just really wanted to do something that would save people real money," eleven2 founder and chief executive officer Rodney Giles. Telx Launches Clifton, NJ Pricing Promotion As part of the launch of its newest data center facility 11-miles outside of New York City in Clifton, New Jersey, Telx (www.telx.com) has begun a pricing promotion on cabinet bundles ending April 1, 2009. The Planet Offers Unmetered Servers from $99 IT hosting provider The Planet (www.theplanet.com) has launched a promotion that provides unmetered bandwidth on select servers for one low monthly price, making many of The Planet's popular unmetered bandwidth packages -- typically $200 for 10 Mbps or $1,800 for 100 Mbps of bandwidth per month -- essentially cost-free on these servers. For instance, the Dual Xeon 3.2, regularly priced at $299 per month, is now available for $144, which includes 10 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth. The same server is priced at $544 with 100 Mbps of unmetered bandwidth, which would regularly be $2,099. There are a lot of webhosting companies out there and its a tough decision to make. When it comes down to it, the choice is all about affordability, uptime and support. Eleven2 has all of these down and then some. I would definitely recommend.

The only times I've ever had a problems with my site, their support has been quick to respond and tell me (politely) that the issue was on my end. When there were problems like that with my previous host, they were quickly dismissed as my own problem. It was a good service for the first 2 months (coincidentally that is the only period of time you may get a refund). After that point, however, we experienced at least 3 hours a month during our business hours (god only knows the other 15 hours a day). Let me assure you that we buy only best when it comes to our hardware, but even the highest quality servers can still fail. In the rare event of server failure, our top priority is to get your site back on-line. I really wish you had a "this company doesn't even deserve a "1" rating because their customer service is so horrible" option for customer relation, but you don't. That would sum up Eleven2 perfectly.

I think that most of the problems that you mentioned are a simple matter of miscommunication. The account was listed as an indirect account, which means that someone else was set up to receive the invoices, other than the name listed on it. Also, during the time you were with us, there were no females employees at eleven2, and so I'm not sure who you talked to that said they fixed your issue, but it certainly wasn't anyone that worked for us.

Whenever I have problems, they are always there to help me. Even when it's almost 10:00PM their time and I need help with my website!
I was having problems with an SSL Certificate on a clients website... I connected to their live chat, and Cory Beavers helped me for almost an HOUR and made sure my website was working before I disconnected with him. I was a pain in the butt and he stayed with me til the end!

I've been with many hosting companies (Interland, GoDaddy, Register dot com, yahoo) and I've really enjoyed the customer service and uptime at eleven2. My site is for hobbies and family, so there's no big company success, but as Josh above said, I am amazed at how well they treat me even though I'm a little guy. I'd definitely encourage you all to try them out.

We started out on the $6/mo. plan and ran into some issues with the LiteSpeed server and the PHP5 install. I totally expected to be ignored (being such a small customer), but they're not like that. Rodney personally spoke with me on several occasions about the issue and eventually switched back to Apache based on this and other customer issues.

Unsatisfied customer ( earthnutvt@y... ) | I don't think it matters which plan I'm using. The customer service at this company is non-existent. I've been on hold now for 30 minutes without even a hint of them ever picking up my call to customer service. This company could obviously not handle their own growth and success and now they are failing miserably at pretty much everything they should be excelling at. Run, do not walk, away from this hosting company
