MarcB ( marc_bha@h... ) | Host-ed is a great company. I had some problems whit the servers and I had to call the support center. They were very well prepared and helped me with the techical problem. I could manage with the problems following their guidelines and everything was resolved in few seconds. They had immediately answered my questions. I highly recommend Host-ed to everyone.

I have a transcript of the conversation with sales support. In fairness David was very polite. But he did avoid answering my question on several occasions and I feel that this was because they are a little dishonest at host-ed.net. Putting up the prices on existing customers doesn't seem like a very good long-term strategy to me. But judge for yourself:

Man the free plan is powerful. You get cool features for free. I now own a paid plan and I am very happy with my purchase.

Anyway, my point was that whenever I'm trying to decide on a new purchase I always call the guys from the sales department and I get detailed info on every product plus advice on what's best for me. Mark ( -no email- ) | I've never built a website before and host-ed makes it so easy. Its affordable and the customer service is good. They respond and resolve issues quickly. They only ask you to send an email after they figure out what it is you need. Its no big deal. host-ed provides all kinds of features that are a breeze to install.

At the beginning it took me some time to get familiar with the control panel but when I managed to do this I discovered that it has a number of great features that I currently enjoy. They recently added asp.NET which I intend to use in the near future, also there is a number of php version which is also an advantage for me. It is not that I use them all but you never know.

I have only just set up an account and so can't comment on the uptime / downtime of the servers, but what these people are offering for free is excellent! Like some on the forum say it would be good if you could use their smtp server on the free account but then I guess you wouldn't need to upgrade if they gave you much more for free! I have 6 + sites hosted with host-ed.net.
No banners and no Expiration date make it the winner of the free services. I use another free service with more space and bandwidth but if I don't keep logging in it is closed.
The paid service is second to none.

I tried it, and it supports FTP and almost everything I need! Now I can have my own website for free! No more financial problems at least for hosting :) Thanks, guys! I truly appreciate it!
