Moniker Hosts TRAFFIC Auction - September 12, 2008 - Domain aftermarket provider Moniker (moniker.com) announced on Thursday it is offering more than 2,000 premium domain names for bid in its upcoming auction at the T.R.A.F.F.I.C. New York domain industry conference (targetedtraffic.com/index.html). The company released the official auction catalog on Thursday, which can be downloaded here. Last week, the .ME Registry revealed the list of .ME domain names that will be available for bidding at the TRAFFIC Conference. The auction will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase, the live auction, beginning on September 25 at 3:00 p.m. involving 200 of the best domains from the catalog. For bidders unable to attend the live auction, Moniker offers free, downloadable software provided by SnapNames (snapnames.com) that enables a user to view the auction as it happens and submit bids in real time. Bidders can also participate by submitting an absentee bid form or sign up for telephone proxy bidding. "The quality of domains in this auction represent unmatched opportunities for investors, businesses and organizations to instantly improve their positioning and SEO or SEM results," says Monte Cahn, co-founder of Moniker. "Some have existing traffic and all offer instant brand building advantages, whether it's launching a new brand or casting a wider online net to feed an existing brand or website." After the live auction ends, the second phase, an online auction, will take place from September 25 through October 2.
