Het datacenter en het kantoor van TransIP draaien beide voor 100% op groene stroom. Deze stroom is opgewekt door zon, wind of water. Daarnaast doen wij ons uiterste best om het energieverbruik zoveel mogelijk te beperken. Apparatuur die bij niet wordt gebruikt staat standaard uit en niet op standby. Ruimte die niet in gebruik is, wordt niet verlicht of verwarmd. En als de weersomstandigheden het toelaten, koelt de airconditioning in de serverruimte niet, maar staat deze in de modus ontvochtigen.
Energiezuinig eigen datacenter
Door onze geavanceerde koeltechniek bereiken en behouden wij de gewenste temperatuur efficiënter dan andere datacenters. Dit is een besparing voor het milieu en voor uw portemonnee. In ons eigen datacenter DCG maken wij gebruik van zogenaamde “cooling alley techniek”. Hierbij wordt de koele lucht uiterst efficiënt op die plekken gebracht waar het nodig is: aan de voorzijde van de apparatuur. Zogenaamde hotspots worden dankzij deze geavanceerde koeltechniek voorkomen.
