Beheading Video Web Site Shut Down - A Web site that posted a video showing the beheading of American citizen Nicholas Berg was shut down by its hosting provider Acme Commerce Sdn Bhd (webserver.com.my), according to a report by the Associated Press. Alfred Lim, business manager for the Malaysian-based company, told the Associated Press that his company was not aware whether the site, www.al-ansar.biz, may have had links to the terrorist organization al-Qaeda, reportedly responsible for the video, or that offensive material had been published on the site. Lim said the site was shut down Thursday morning because it was attracting traffic that was taking up too much bandwidth. The video was reportedly posted on Tuesday. Mike ( netaddict1@y... ) | I've been using their service both as a reseller and a user since 2001. During the early days, their service quality, support, expertise were very good. BUT, in the last 2 year, there were so many mistakes that I don't have the space to write here. From ignoring the migration timing, to simply blocking client's websites/email without notice, to backing up wrong files for server upgrading works.... the list goes on.
My advice for anyone looking for a webhosting company: GO LOOK ELSEWHERE! THESE [...]
