It was on April 14th that I spoke on the phone with a sales person with Solar VPS before placing our order. I explained to him that I needing a window VPS because my current service provider was going to charge me $50 more to move from Linux to windows. I stated to him that we needed the windows VPS for a SightMax chat software and I gave him the minimum requirements that needed to be on the server. The sales person said that would not be a problem and explained to me the promotion on their website of $1 for the first month of service if I order a windows VPS. Holdfire was a good host right up until mid 2011, where the original owner stopped updating any of the social network accounts for the company, and in the following months, uptime continually decreased until at one point in February 2012, my site was reverted to its state in either 2008 or 2009. At which point I knew that due to a lack of available support and multiple online forum postings indicating that others were having the same issues, the company had gone under.Sure, their selling domain is still up, but they have not answered any support tickets, nor is their support website functional for previous customers (it now connects to "flaredhost").If you are thinking about using ... Having come from a really crap host to Hostzealot VPS hosting service, I can say that I am fully-satisfied. The support is great, the load speed is great and the uptime is also good.It's good cheap hosting. The supports good and they always seem prepared to go out of their way to get things done.Support has been great, everybody I have spoken with at Hostzealot.
