Dreadfull company, my VPS server was down 7 times in 3 weeks due to D9 messing around with the main server, we complained and asked for some credit or free month at least they said no we then said if we were any other company then we would take leagal action and hey presto recieved an email from D9 quoting "This is a formal cancellation notice to inform you that due to the threat of legal action we will not be continuing to provide you with your VPS account after December 24th 2010. (The end of your current billing period)
Kind Regards,
D9 Hosting"

Avoid like the plaugue as they have no morals and when the going gets tough D9 run away.

Just a follow up to this review from a former customer.

Before we (D9 Hosting) go into details about the downtime, it should be noted that the customer has posted this review using different fake names on multiple review sites.

So any comments we make have NO connection to anyone named "Russ Cox". The actual URL hosted by D9 Hosting was titan-adsl.co.uk and the client was Titan ADSL, not the fake name mentioned in this review.

The clients VPS was down on a Saturday and they submitted a support ticket about the issue at 03.20 EST, our technicians replied to the ticket in 21 minutes and had the issues fixed by 04.28 EST. The client acknowledged that the issue was resolved and gave the technician a 5/5 star rating.

The client then came on to our Live Chat service on the Monday and reported his VPS as being down again, the issue was tracked down to the Firewall installed on his VPS (not at the node level as indicated by the client). The issue was resolved within 10 minutes and we offered to remove the existing firewall (APF) and replace it with a GUI Firewall (CSF) for free, which we proceeded to do for them.

After this the client responded with the following quote:

"please implement the new firewall as soon as, i will take this further with your business and with my solicitors" SIC

The above is the exact quote, at no point did the client say "if we were any other company then we would take leagal (SIC) action", we (D9 Hosting) still have all transcripts and conversations on file.

All in all, the clients website was down for less than 2 hours, and not for the extended period that he implies, we save all support requests and other than the 2 outages mentioned above, the only period of prolonged downtime (> 2 hours) experienced was due to multiple late payments on the account.

It was only after the threat of legal action that we took the decision to terminate the clients account at the end of the billing period.

We don't take this kind of measure normally, out of the 12,000+ websites we host this was the first time we've cancelled a clients contract (apart from Fraudulent accounts!), but the threat of legal action over a minor Firewall issue indicated we would be better off parting ways with the client.

Kind Regards,
D9 Hosting -- d9hosting.com representative
