HostICan refuses to honor its "30 Days No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee" as defined here: http://www.hostican.com/whyus/guarantees.php and refund the money for the services they never provided. Here are the details of my communication with them in an attempt to receive my money back:
6/04/2010- Purchased a 6-Months “VPS Extreme” hosting package. $519.70 was paid via PayPal 6/22/2010- Canceled the service and asked for a refund per the guarantee. I submitted a cancellation and a refund request #THT-759551. Was promised the refund within 5 days. 6/28/2010- I have sent an email asking for a refund. 7/2/2010- Called the billing dept(Brad), was told the refund will be processed in 5 days. 7/4/2010- Emailed asking for a refund again. 7/9/2010- Opened a new ticket (Ref. # DYN-304071) to expedite the refund for the services. 7/12/2010- I opened a PayPal dispute, case #PP-001-016-538-114, to get my money back. 7/14/2010- PayPal closed my dispute advising to pursue escalation outside of PayPal due to the digital nature of the product. 7/16/2010- Called again, asking to escalate. 7/19/2010- Called and spoke with Bakarr and Brad, both promised to speak to the billing manager to honor the refund policy. 7/19/2010- Emailed the owner of the company, Mr. Denis Motova, with the information provided above and received a reply "I will investigate, and my internal team will review to see what is going on and get this sorted." 7/23/2010- Emailed Mr. Motova again and asked if he has any updates on the case. 7/29/2010- Emailed Mr. Motova and CC-ed their Billing Support email address billing@hostican.com with a request to address the issue. I received a notification that a support ticket # NRI-810414 has been created.
HostIcan was paid for 6 month of service. I received 18 days of actual service and never received a guaranteed refund, despite my many attempts. I am a victim of fraud committed by HostICan
