I signed up with this hosting company on the recommendation of one of my clients -- she was insistent on having a Canadian host, and this one seemed to have good prices. I signed up only 48 hours ago, but already this is a nightmare. They have procedures in place to "prevent fraud." It seemed simple enough at first -- they wanted to call me and have me recite a PIN they provided. Ten minutes later, no call. I check back, and there's an error message. I try their online customer service and for ten minutes it just scrolls messages telling me how important my business is to them -- finally, it tells me there's no operator available and asks me to leave a message. I do, and no one gets back to me. I try the online customer service again today and speak to Alex, who informs me that I have to send them two forms of identity to get my account (already paid for!) opened. This is feeling like a scam to me, and I have to decide if it's worth it to me to lose money or risk identity theft. I will never use this company for another client.
