The solution is designed to reduce the cost and complexity of managing large blocks of IP addresses.
According to the company, IP Manager 1.5 enables users to manage all their IP addresses and address allocations. The user can then identify blocks of IP addresses or segments of blocks to "consumers" of IP addresses such as business DSL or dedicated server product groups.
"The use of IP technology is a growing trend in the telecommunications marketplace," said Chris Coulter, CEO of Systemsfusion. "With that comes the need for effective management of IP addresses. As correct IP addressing is fundamental to a working IP network, many IT departments currently have to utilize spreadsheets, patched together databases or generic software packages to try and manage their IP address base. As existing packages haven't been aimed at taking care of a service provider's needs and are generic tools for the enterprise space, service providers have had to make do with them."
Coulter says IP Manager 1.5 will cater specifically to the needs of service providers.
