Hewlett Packard (hp.com) today announced that
OptiGlobe has become the first HP Elite Service
Provider Partner in the region, deepening the
Companies' strategic relationship to provide IT
solutions to businesses throughout Latin America.
The partnership involves joint sales, marketing,
solution development and services efforts, and builds
upon a February 2001 infrastructure and financing
accord between the Companies valued at over $100
million.

creates a powerful alliance in the evolving market of
mission-critical hosting and IT outsourcing, but also
certifies OptiGlobe as capable of delivering services
of the highest quality," said Fausto Dedeschi, HP's
industry manager for the Latin American region. "We

Together we can offer comprehensive, best of breed
solutions to our customers."
As an Elite Service Provider Partner, OptiGlobe will
work with HP to offer HP's existing customers and
other large enterprises outsourcing solutions that can
reduce the total cost of ownership of their hardware
and software investments while improving the
performance, security and reliability of their
mission-critical applications.
In addition to joint sales efforts, HP and OptiGlobe
will develop, market and sell packaged vertical and
horizontal solutions that incorporate both Companies'
products. OptiGlobe will also leverage HP's
capabilities to provide system integration services in
OptiGlobe's world-class IDCs.
