Catalyst Investors Acquires web hosting news |

Use submit form for hosting news!| Catalyst Investors Acquires Dec 1, 2006 | Private equity fund Catalyst Investors (catalystinvestors.com) officially announced on Tuesday that it had acquired Web hosting provider Aplus.Net (aplus.net), a deal that took place earlier this year.
Aplus.Net provides Web hosting, dedicated server hosting, Web design and Web marketing services to approximately 90,000 small and medium-sized businesses. Founders Ivan and Lilian Vachovsky will retain a significant ownership stake while Ivan Vachovsky continues to serve on the board of directors. Ivan Vachovsky has resigned from the CEO position to pursue other opportunities. Gabriel Murphy will co-invest with Catalyst, and will serve as CEO and sit on the board of directors. Murphy co-founded CommuniTech.Net in 1997 then later sold it to Web.com in February 2002.
Aplus.Net has over 300 employees with operations in San Diego and Sacramento, California, Phoenix, Arizona, Sofia, Bulgaria and Manila, Philippines.
