Verio Names Marketing Executives Jun 24, 2008
Managed hosting provider Verio (verio.com) announced on Tuesday that it has named Wendy Pearson the senior director of marketing and communications, and Kenneth Giffin the company's director of marketing.


Both Pearson and Giffin will be based at the company's corporate headquarter in Centennial, Colorado.

These appointments will help expand Verio's marketing team, as Pearson and Giffin lead the relaunch of Verio's global marketing strategy. In February, the company named Steve Renda to VP of sales and marketing.

"As the online business sector continues to grow and evolve, Verio is working to become the provider that small businesses everywhere turn to for guidance implementing smart and scalable web-based business applications," says Steve Renda, VP, sales and marketing at Verio. "Wendy and Ken bring outstanding leadership and experience in web based business solutions that support the expansion of Verio's hosting and SaaS initiatives worldwide."

Drawing from more than 15 years of strategic marketing experience in the business-to business, hosting and technology field, Pearson will overlook all aspects of Verio's marketing and communications initiatives.

She joins Verio from consulting firm Breakthrough Management Group International, where she led the company's marketing, branding and communications efforts since 2003.

She has also served as director of marketing and communications for hosting and colocation provider ViaWest, and as marketing manager at Rocky Mountain Internet.

Giffin brings more than 15 years of B2B and technology marketing experience to further enhance Verio's new team. As director of marketing, Giffin will hold overall marketing responsibility for the Via Verio reseller program and leading the company's product marketing.

She joins Verio from Quark, where he served as vice president of marketing. He has also held several marketing leadership positions in General Electric's Access Distribution division, involving corporation marketing and communications, customer loyalty and demand generation.
