Aplus.Net Tops Netcraft's Most Reliable Jul 8, 2008
Aplus.Net (aplus.net) was the most reliable hosting company site for June 2008, up from its number two ranking last month according to UK-based internet security and research firm Netcraft.


With zero outage time and 0.001 percent failed requests, Aplus.Net took the top spot from May's winner InetU (inetu.net) which slipped to place 18 in June.

Aplus.Net announced on June 17 it has earned gold certified status in Microsoft's Partner Program and two Microsoft Competencies including Advanced Infrastructure Solutions and Networking Infrastructure Solutions. APlus.Net offers dedicated servers, web hosting, web design and marketing. It is also an ICANN accredited domain name registrar.

TheWhir reported about their major hosting plan changes earlier in the year to rebrand the company that has been offering internet services for the past 10 years. Aplus.Net currently has more than 200,000 customers and including more than 6,000 dedicated server customers.

Datasync (datasync.com) made second place this month. Following the April acquisition of parent company I-55 Internet Services Inc by Xfone USA (xfoneusa.com), Datasync moved from number 47 in May to the second place spot.

Half of June's top ten hosting companies run Linux on their main sites. Three of the others use FreeBSD including Aplus.Net and the remaining two use Windows Server 2003 according to Netcraft.

Netcraft determines the rankings according to the percentage of failed requests using data collected from separate points around the internet with performance measurements made at 15 minute intervals.
