Use submit form for hosting news!| O3SIS Offers Open-Xchange Solution Aug 7, 2008 | Open source collaboration software provider Open-Xchange (open-xchange.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with O3SIS (o3sis.com), a provider of open-standards-based over-the-air data synchronization and push technologies.
The companies anticipate a release in the third quarter software that will enable ISPs, telcos and web hosting providers to offer their customers a mobile extension of the Open-Xchange Hosting Edition.
Last month, Open-Xchange announced it is offering the new version of its Open-Xchange Server Edition in beta release.
O3SIS will add mobile capabilities to the email, calendar, address book and tasks of Hosted Open-Xchange. The company supports more than 300 certified mobile devices, covering more than 95 percent of the total mobile subscriber base.
The company's solutions are currently deployed by top tier mobile operators, including Vodafone Group, E-Plus, O2, and T-Mobile, with millions of users worldwide.
"The market potential for mobile SaaS solutions is tremendous as business users and consumers seek easy-to-use mobile messaging and collaboration capabilities on all the devices they use, anywhere, anytime," says Rafael Laguna, CEO of Open-Xchange. "SaaS makes applications accessible and affordable to small- and medium-size enterprises and consumers without requiring technical expertise."
Open-Xchange has partnerships with several web hosting providers, including 1&1 Internet in the US and Germany, Network Solutions in the US, JMF in Japan, OVH in France, and Hostpoint in Switzerland.
