According to the announcement Thursday, approximately 80,000 businesses and institutions already deploy IceWarp Server to deliver stable, secure, highly scalable and easy-to-administer business messaging solutions.
The new version works with both Windows and Linux and incorporates PHP 5.2.6 and FastCGI. It is also now compatible with Firefox 3.0 and Safari 3.0, recognizing Mac-specific keystrokes. It offers access to WebMail via PDAs, and includes an iPhone skin.
"IceWarp is heavily focused on untethering end users from the desktop," IceWarp CEO Christopher Grady said in a statement. "This isn't just a nice feature that companies like to have --it's a feature they need to have in order to be competitive and agile in today's market."
Version 9.3 includes a centralized anti virus updating system and incorporates a built-in log analyzer among 400 new features and changes from the previous version according to IceWarp.
IceWarp, however, is not the only email platform undergoing improvement. Last week, email management appliances and software provider AtMail (atmail.com) launched AtMail Cluster Edition, a new web-based solution for monitoring and managing multiple email servers remotely. | Reads: 813 | Category: General | Source: TheWHIR : Web Host Industry Reviews URL source: http://www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/080808_IceWarp_Server_Releases_Version_9_3.cfm
