Use submit form for hosting news!| Quality Tech Adds New GM Aug 19, 2008 | Data center and managed services provider Quality Technology Services (qualitytech.com) has appointmented Paul Corning as General Manager for the company's western region.
According to Quality Tech's announcement Tuesday, Corning will "serve as a catalyst for QualityTech's establishment as a force in the Silicon Valley," bringing more than two decades of experience to the new role. He previously held positions as diverse as sales, marketing, IT, engineering, production and finance at corporations including IBM (ibm.com), Cisco Systems (cisco.com) and GE Aerospace (geae.com).
"With the purchase of the Santa Clara facilities in December of 2007, QualityTech made a conscious decision to significantly impact the west coast market," company president Mark Waddington said in a statement. "With more than $15 million invested in upgrades to power, cooling and UPS, the need for a seasoned leader was evident. The opportunity to add someone with Paul's knowledge and experience is the perfect solution for QualityTech."
His resume includes work with large Fortune 500 firms as well as experience in the rapidly-growing, mid-market sector. In his most recent position, Corning served as Business Development Executive for IBM North America Global Services, but prior to that banking industry role, he was Solution Manager for IBM's Electronics and Manufacturing sector and built a sustainable services business for IBM mid-market clients in the Midwest US region.
By focused on understanding client business initiatives and deploying technology solutions, Quality Tech hopes Corning's skills will establish the prominence of the young brand in a very competitive market.
