Uniserver Partners with R1Soft web hosting news |

Use submit form for hosting news!| Uniserver Partners with R1Soft Sep 2, 2008 | Netherlands-based web hosting provider Uniserver Internet (uniserver.nl) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with R1Soft (r1soft.com) to offer a value-added data protection service for its customers.
As a member of R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program, which was launched in February, Uniserver Internet now has access to a range of sales and marketing resources, volume discounts, priority technical support and pre-release software updates.
Through the program, R1Soft works with hosting partners to help them maximize their return on investment and effectively deploy Continuous Data Protection. Since then, the company has slowly built its portfolio of R1HPP partners, including WpWeb, SpiralHost, NR Software Systems, and Cirrus Tech.
The program differs from the company's licensing partnerships, where companies simply purchase R1Soft's enterprise data center license to offer Continuous Data Protection as the backup software for servers, as in the case of JaguarPC announcement in May.
Uniserver Internet will offer Continuous Data Protection as a value-add service for dedicated server and shared hosting customers.
Shared hosting users will be offered the service for free, while dedicated hosting customers will have the option to purchase data protection in increments as needed. Dedicated Server users can restore files individually or execute a bare-metal restoration of their entire server from a restore point.
Last month, R1Soft released a public beta version of its Windows 2.0 Continuous Data Protection, which it says is the only software capable of a Continuous Data Protection style backup for both Windows and Linux servers.
"We have investigated a variety of backup solutions for both Windows and Linux servers, but none provided the flexibility, scalability and affordability offered by R1Soft's Continuous Data Protection solution," says Ronald Bezuur, Uniserver Internet CEO. "We have no doubt that we have selected the solution that will best meet the needs of our clients, large and small, for many years to come."
