Use submit form for hosting news!| Peerless Tyre Picks Data393 VPN Oct 31, 2006 | Data center operator Data393 (data393.com) announced on Monday it has signed an agreement with Denver-based automobile tires and accessories distributor Peerless Tyre (peerlesstyreco.com) to host a virtual private network for 60 Peerless Tyre stores across seven states.
Data393 says the virtual private network will enable Peerless Tyre employees to share sensitive data between stores and access company information and online tools that are protected by a firewall and other filters. The VPN creates an encrypted tunnel for transferring data from the user's location to the destination server.
"Peerless Tyre is joining a trend of businesses communicating to multiple locations without risking the security of its network," says Lee Woodward, CEO of Data393. "In a world of viruses and hackers, implementing a firewall and a secure virtual private network are necessary to protect the information that drives business.
