Use submit form for hosting news!| Rackspace Placed in Leader Quadrant Sep 5, 2006 | Web hosting provider Rackspace Managed Hosting (rackspace.com) announced on Friday it has been positioned in the Leader's Quadrant in analysis firm Gartner's 2006 North American Web hosting Magic Quadrant.
According to Gartner, vendors listed in the Leader's Quadrant are performing well today, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.
"We believe our position in the Leader's Quadrant shows that Rackspace continues to penetrate the enterprise market and demonstrates our continued success as we work to become one of the world's greatest service companies," says Lanham Napier, president of Rackspace Managed Hosting. "Our consultative approach to managed hosting reinforces the service value of Fanatical Support to our enterprise customers. Our service teams become an integral part of our customers' IT departments, providing valuable expertise and technical advice to ensure they are getting the most out of their hosted environments."
The Gartner Magic Quadrant evaluates service providers based on their ability to execute and completeness of vision. These scores are then plotted on a graph illustrating their placement in the Magic Quadrant. Information on each company is gathered through vendor interviews and questionnaires, ongoing client inquiries, reference checks and input from Gartner analysts.
