"We are pleased to make this service available to our clients," says Dev Chanchani, INetU's president. "Disaster recovery is one of the emerging concerns for companies running important applications over the Internet. Our Business Continuity Hot Site service has been built specifically to help clients come up with a strategy to enact. Having a well thought out disaster recovery plan allows businesses to make smart decisions in a crisis, so no one has to panic."
The service is available only to INetU managed hosting clients, placing servers in geographically diverse data centers and synchronizing them according to a schedule customized for the client's specific needs. In the event of a crisis where the client's primary site becomes unavailable, the disaster recovery site can come online and keep operations running smoothly.
INetU says it manages hundreds of servers belonging to customers focused on doing business over the Web and its clients include recognizable names such as Microsoft, Infosys, DreamWorks SKG, and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. | Reads: 738 | Category: General | Source: TheWHIR : Web Host Industry Reviews URL source: http://www.thewhir.com/marketwatch/072706_Web_Host_INetU_Adds_Backup_Service.cfm
