Use submit form for hosting news!| Limelight Launches Podcast Network Feb 15, 2006 | Content delivery network operator Limelight Networks (limelightnetworks.com) announced on Tuesday that it had partnered with podcasting service PodShow (podshow.com) to launch PodShowPDN, a content delivery network designed for the specific needs of podcasting.
Limelight says PodShowPDN provides a complete set of tools for creating, publishing and uploading content, with the scalability to deliver and track tens of thousands of shows, millions of episodes and hundreds of millions of downloads.
According to Limelight, the service is arriving just as the popularity of podcasting is beginning to reveal weaknesses in the traditional means of management and delivery, and as the medium is beginning to present mainstream media companies with new opportunities to expand their reach and find new distribution and marketing opportunities.
