Aplus.Net Launches Domain Services Nov 5, 2004
Web hosting provider Aplus.Net (aplus.net) announced on Thursday that it has launched Domain Monitor and Domain Guard, two notification services that are designed to help businesses and individuals protect their online property and business branding efforts, and acquire the domain names they want.

Domain Monitor surveys activity on registered domains, monitoring the domain names' registry records. Through the service, if changes are made to a domain name server, registrar, status or expiration of the entry being monitored, an email is sent to the customer. According to Aplus.Net, Domain Monitor protects not only against malicious actions, but also from technical and clerical errors.
Domain Guard helps guard Web site branding by monitoring new domain name registrations for specific keywords that the customer selects. In the event a new domain name is registered that contains the monitored keywords, an email is sent to the customer.
Customers can choose either service, priced at $4.95 per year, regardless of whether or not they own the domain.
"Domain names are a major part of the intellectual property portfolio for many of our customers," says Ivan Vachovsky, chief executive officer of Aplus.Net. "They require adequate protection, which Aplus.Net delivers with Domain Guard and Domain Monitor services."
