Superb to Sell FreeSSL Certificates Feb 24, 2004
Internet security specialist FreeSSL.com (freessl.com) announced on Monday that hosting provider Superb Internet (superb.net) will join its partner program and offer FreeSSL.com's SSL certificates to its customers. Under the program, Superb's hosting customers will be able to purchase FreeSSL.com's "StarterSSL" directly from Superb. StarterSSL is a 128-bit SSL certificate, the lowest cost, single root install SSL certificate available from FreeSSL.com.

"Today's savvy online customers are demanding that the Web sites they will do business with on the Internet have a high level of security which requires an SSL certificate amongst other things. We are extremely pleased to be partnering with FreeSSL.com to provide low cost SSL certificates for our customers," says Curtis R. Curtis, vice president of sales and marketing at Superb. "The immediate issuance and simple installation is a major benefit to our hosting customers, who demand a highly trusted, cost effective and easy to install SSL certificate on their Web site."
According to the company, StarterSSL is issued through FreeSSL.com's automated process, allowing certificates to be issued almost immediately.
"We are delighted to welcome such a prestigious Web host as Superb Internet to the FreeSSL.com partner program. StarterSSL has proven to be ideal for Web hosts who are looking for an entry level SSL certificate that is cost effective, yet at the same time can be issued and installed quickly," says Steve Waite, vice president of marketing with FreeSSL.com. "As our issuance processes are fully automated we place no additional resource requirements on the host, making the entire process fast and easy for both Web host and end customer."
