| “000Webhost is by far, the WORST webhost I have EVER seen in my 5 years in free hosting. Their autoinstaller has been down for almost a month, and they refuse to even give me a REMOTE IDEA of when I can use it again. I cannot add custom DNS records to my domains that I have hosted to them. And from the support tickets, the ONE person on support cannot even speak proper english. Props to 000Webhost for the HORRIBLE, UNRELIABLE, SHITTY hosting.
Also, from what I've been seeing in the other reviews, you get terminated if you criticize them, or upset them, which means I am backing up all my files right now before I get terminated.”

| “I have had my website with 000webhost ($0.00 web host) for about half a year now and they are good for the price. I have experienced about 4 hours downtime that I have noticed in that time. The good sides are they have good autoinstallers and easy to use features, which helped me get from newbie to moderate web designer.
The SERIOUS bad side to this is that their customer support is very bad and multiple times I have never recieved a reply to my query. Also the affiliate side is fixed, so it marks your signups as inactive even though they are perfectly active, and also after the 30 day minimum they sitll delete them.
So if you are wanting to start hosting a website, I wqould recomend this. If you want to so a lot of advanced features on your website and have an advanced host, I would go with someone else.”

| “000Webhost is a joke! I signed up for a free account and planned to get a domain name and upgrade to a pay service. I wanted to run WordPress so I installed it and found that the new user registration emails weren't sending. I tested the mail() function in php (which they claimed to support) with a simple test page and found that it failed. I sent a helpdesk request in and they told me the problem is most likely the email froma free webhost is being blocked my the recipient server. I then tested the mail() function by sending an email from 000webhost to an account I created on 000webhost. Again the email failed. I presented this to them and the send me another copy of the original "canned" answer. I told they that this was absured, they can't be bloccking their own email accounts. I told them that there was a problem with their php config.
The next day I checked and got an email telling me the server my website was on had a problem with php mail and they were fixing it and that I should login and recreate my email account. When I attempted to login I was greeted with a termination message....THEY TERMINATED ME FOR TOS VIOLATIONS. The WordPress I put up was going to be for Exakta Camera Collectors...I had a greeting message and one picture of a camera uploaded. That;s it. I attempted testing the mail() function maybe 10 times.
I sent them a scathing email criticizing what they did and in return I was told I violated the TOS but they couldn't tell me how.

| “BEWARE of 000webhost - they will steal and destroy your data
So, the features they advertise do look pretty good, but for your own sakes DO NOT FALL FOR IT. This "service" is a DISASTER from beginning to end, it is simply unbelievable that a "service" of this quality and this much contempt and disrespect to the customers is still around.
First of all, you'll be lucky if your uptime is 60%. Yes, half of the time you or your users try to access the site, it is down. Disks fail, servers shut down ... and on, and on and on ... The other half of the time, it is up, but you have to be REALLY patient to get the page loaded, it is so slow, I sometimes think they are just typing the content in by hand as it is loading. I was running a standard BB engine there, nothing fancy.
You think this is all? Oh, no, just wait, this is only the beginning. So, if you get some kind of traffic coming in (and I mean just SOME traffic - maybe, 100 hits per DAY, nowhere near real traffic), their puny servers start to collapse, and come down to a CRAWL. And then (get this!), they blame YOU for your db queries being "slow"! My 12 year old PC runs these same queries in milliseconds (not tens of milliseconds, single digits).
So, they let you run this parody on a website for a while, and accumulate enough users, and user-contributed data, they just ... shut it down! Yes, without any kind of a warning or anything, in the middle of the day, the site just disappears, and all your users start getting redirected to some stupid and irrelevant upsell page for the webhosting, instead of the site they were looking for, without explanation or any message whatsoever. And they won't tell you about it. You'll have to wait til one of the users thinks about notifying you to find out your site is gone.
Naturally, when this happens, you login to your account to see what is going on ... and that's when you find out that your "slow queries" violated their TOS. Needles to say, there is nothing in TOS about "slowness" of your "queries", I mean, one would have to be a complete idiot to put something like that in their TOS ("our servers are way too weak to sustain anything remotely resembling a database, you are better off hosting it on your damn laptop").
Anyway, so, what do you do now? I suppose, write them a polite letter where you apologize sincerely for inadvertedly straining their "servers" with your "slow queries", promise, that it will never happen again, and humby point out, that there is actually nothing in the TOS speaking to the effect of the speed of the db queries, and thus technically you are not even in violation.
At this point, you are, probably, not even interested in reinstating your account anymore. I for one, had enough of this "service" by now. It's nothing but trouble, problems all around. NOTHING works as advertised ... So, I don't even ask them to reactivate the account, just give me my data back, simple enough, isn't it? Let me download the content of the database, and I'll be out of your hair. Simple enough, isn't it?
Well ... that's where the most interesting part begins! The response I got from their "support" person, states that:
accounts that they THINK are in violation of something, are cancelled immediately
Once the account is cancelled, all data pertaining to it is DESTROYED, not just on the server disks, but even in the backups, and there is absolutely no way to recover it.
Now, I don't know about you, but I found this "policy" absolutely EYE POPPING. Not only, they shut you down whenever they fell like it, but they will allso INTENTIONALLY and WILLFULLY DESTROY ALL OF THE CUSTOMER'S DATA. Not because of some catastrophic failure or an act of sabotage, but AS A MATTER OF POLICY.
"Hosting service", destroying their customer's data on purpose? That's a new one ...
I just could not believe my eyes when I read their reply. I figured, there must be something I am missing, misunderstood, it just cannot be true. So, I write back, and ask for a clarification. Here is the exact reply I got back from their "suport":

Perhaps you are thinking something along the lines of "well, this will never happen to me, because I always make backups". Think again! If you have more then 10M of data, the db backups won't work with this hoster either. They crash in the middle of the download. I tried many times and not once was able to download successfully. And when I asked "support" about it, I got a reply to the effect that "yeah, we know, it does not work".
Well, enough said. I hope, I was clear enough to persuade you to stay as far away from this "service" or from any other "service" ran by these fraudsters (notably, hosting24.com is their creature too - I urge you to stay even father away from it!) for your own sake.
There are plenty of hosting choices around the net, and this one is BY FAR THE WORST ONE!”

| “000webhost is a TERRIBLE host. One of the worst. I had a fairly popular site hosted there, and one day for no reason, it redirected to an error page. When I try to log in, it says my account was banned for not following their terms. I tried to contact them, but it said "we'll respond in 1 business day", but for a whole week, I never heard from them again. My database was lost, and if I didn't keep a backup, my files would have been gone too.
Basically, the people there NEVER respond to emails, contact, etc. Even if your site is shut down for no reason, they don't care.
I suspect that they ban any account that uses too much bandwidth (even though you have like a 100GB limit) (because another guy I know had the same problem with his fairly popular site), so they can keep their server "99.9%" up.
DO NOT USE 000WEBHOST! They're a scam.”

| “I ran an experimental WP blog on 000Webhost for a few months and at first I was pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately it was very short lived. The affiliate program is a scam and it seems even those who reach the minimum payout level are not being paid. Iost so many commissions to cancelled accounts and can see why now.
I contacted them about 159 hours of downtime. I was lied to again and again by incompetent help desk staff (all documented on one of my websites) and suddenly without warning my account was unceremoniously deleted along with all files and databases. Appalling.
This service is nothing more than a loss leader, and laughably not one they can even run properly. Surely the idea is to provide a service and impress users enough to make them want to upgrade once you have proved your mettle. Instead, this crowd treat users with contempt and if their completely unsubtle sales messages fail, be prepared to be kicked off the service with the tired old, same old same old, TOS violation.
Every other support ticket answer is an attempted upsell of whatever paid hosting service these people are pushing - as if anyone in their right mind would pay money after the treatment they are dished out as a free customer.
TOS is a joke and I breached none of them. It seems that if you have the temerity to complain or ask too many questions they will close you down without a second thought, relying on their catch all "we can delete your website at any time for any reason" BS. They really are that terrible and any company who employs such tactics deserves nothing but ill will from all the people they ride over in their attempts to sell hosting to any sucker who signs up with them.
All in all - disgraceful - hugely unreliable, dishonest, sharp business practices and a company to be avoided at all costs. Do not waste your time, because you really will pay for your free hosting with these clowns. To be avoided like the plague.”

They apparently say they can remove your site for ,'Any or no reason' at notice.
This is crazy. I spend my time and effort on a site that can be terminated at a whim.
I was using their free hosting, and I accept that free often = crap.
My site was offline and online a lot of the time, but I couldn't afford paid hosting.
Then suddenly, and with no warning, they removed my site for an apparent TOS violation. I accept I may have made one, but they didn't give me an explanation.
I sent support requests, but that didn't work at all.
I posted topics on their forums which were promptly removed.
All I wanted was a back up.
I would not recommend this host to anyone.”

| “Be careful of hosting any website of value with 000webhost.com. Use 000webhost.com for experimental hosting, but realize they terminate an account for "any or no reason" and without any explanation. Do not use their free domains, because of course these perish with your account.
000webhost.com closed all my free websites without reason and without notice and blocked all my communication with them. Two free urls, where I was promoting anti spyware and anti adware products were also blocked. I was unaware of the fact and was still paying for advertisements to attract visitors to the sites.
I was a keen proponent of 000webhost.com since May up to beginning September. I was fully aware that the 000webhost.com terms of reference was quite harsh against abuse and even includes that 000webhost.com could terminate an account without notice and without.reason. I however knew that I would not enter into anything dubious business and started my free hosting with 000webhost.com and had a few websites, ranging from an anti spyware, accommodation advertising and a blogging site. Some of the sites were based on 000webhost.com free domains like a mathematics site called wiskunde.net46.net.
At the beginning of this week I received an email stating "Your account adware.net76.net has been checked and approved by the system administrator. Domain is now active.
We are sorry for inconveniences it may caused and thank you for patience." I was not even aware that there was a "checking" going on. The site was anti adware. I then realized that my whole account was blocked and up to now all my sites are blocked, 000webhost.com do not answer my emails, I am blocked from the 000webhost.com ticketing system and and from the 000webhost.com forum.
I have read the 000webhost.com Terms of Service over and over and the only reason I can see, is that they say they can terminate an account for "any or no reason".”

| “I have tried the host and i am unhappy with the results since they do not give me the things i want. But i like the features like auto-installer and cPanel. Goodluck to all the people who wanted to try the web host.
They said they have zero downtimes but they do have more downtimes than expected. Alot of people who tried th hosting service failed to get what they want.

| “000webhost.com provided good hosting for a year. A little more downtime that I would like, but it's free, so I lived with it. They've canceled one of my sites twice for inactivity, even though I'm getting daily hits by statcounter. Their service is non-existant, you'll get a response on their support site in a day that won't answer your questions. Still, for free I lived with it. Now they have changed their included features:
As of May 2008, 000webhost.com NO LONGER PROVIDES CPANEL OR ANY E-MAIL ACCOUNTS ON NEW FREE HOSTING ACCOUNTS.
One of my site's e-mail still works, but I had to re-setup the other site after it was canceled for inactivity. The new site has no e-mail or cPanel. 000webhost's help says that cPanel and e-mail are only offered in their paid ($10/mo) hosting. Quite frankly, I'm moving on to another hosting service. I don't mind paying for hosting, but seriously, $10 per month to get 5 e-mail accounts and cPanel is too much!”

| “I read somewhere that a person was not paid by the company. He said when they was going to pay him money he would receive a message that they need more time then 30 days.
After I made my 20 signups then I got the same message.
Try to sign up and see if it says 30 or 60 days.
This is what they wrote "Announcement: we have started to use 60 days signup verification procedure (we used 30 days signup verification system before). That is because we received lots of fraudulent signups especially from Vietnam and China and we need more time to check everything. So if you have referred user today, it will be credited in 2 months. We need these 2 months to protect us from fraudulent signups. We are sorry if we made any inconveniences for you and let us to know if you have any questions."”

| “After several months of having received poor hosted websites. (poor speed and a lot of server down-time) I started their affiliate program. 5 dollars for every signup you bring in.
Their webhosting is free, yes, but their affiliate program is a SCAM.
And thus in short, 000webhost.com is A SCAM. They do not reply to support requests and simply suspend your affiliate account when you have 305 dollars to be paid out. Payments were postponed 3 times. Each time they has some obscure reason why payments were postponed. And at the end, your account will be gone. No way to claim anything, it will simply be suspended.
Don't fall for the 000webhost.com scam. They are scammers and don't pay out! They simply remove your affiliate account and you have no means of contacting them.”
