I have submitted hundreds of tickets to them and have had no response. I don't think they ever planned on giving me the hosting. They take the money and then never answer my tickets.
This is fraud. suing them is in order now! May be little money but there taking money and keeping our bank details!

I've been caught by their 'affiliation scheme' - recommend a customer and they'll pay commission.
Total Lies! Recommend a customer and they'll pull every excuse in the book to NOT pay commission.
Excuses: 1. They must setup account and buy package at same time. (They Did!) 2. You cant buy package for your own use and get commission. (I wasn't!) 3. Commissions added automatically. (They're not!)
Support: My first query / complaint about this started early in Feb. Cant get to speak to anyone, support queries get closed when they're not answered. Answers dont even address the questions....The support staff dont read the questions before picking a standard answer to reply with.
Results: As it happens they've only suceeded in making me take every opportunity to put people off purchasing from 123-reg. I've informed them of my decision to move my hosting account and they've just ignored it - they simply dont care.
Conclusion: 123-Reg may advertise low rates and seemingly good deals but they will cost you big time if you need any sort of support or expect them to backup what they advertise. Please stay clear to protect your sanity and bank balance.

February 9, 2010 -anonymous- ( -no email- ) | I signed up for the free 30 day trial and once I had built my website I then bought the Ecommerce Package One. To cut a long story short I am 2 weeks into my package and am still not online. The support is so useless and I cannot get a simple answer. They have now closed my ticket without solving it. I am calling them to cancel and demand a refund! AAAAHHHH! Do not use this company. They will drive you insane!

February 5, 2010 Stephen ( stephen[at]mmcc[dot]co[dot]uk ) | Avoid the terrible hosting company '123-reg.co.uk' . If you bought hosting from them years ago, they will keep your debit card details (without permission) and take money out of your account willy nilly. The only way to cancel these automatic 'payments' (theft!) is to call them on a premium rate number.
I called them last week to cancel an old hosting package and was on hold for half an hour on their premium rate number before I hung up. Never got to speak to anyone.
Then I used their support site (a misnomer if ever there was one) to tell them I couldn't get through by phone to cancel and that I expressly forbid them to take money out of my account the following week. They replied, asking if I was sure, then closed the line of communication. So I got in touch again, telling them 'cancel the hosting, do not take money from my account and I do not give permission for you to hold my card details and never have'.
So guess what they did? They took £70 from my bank account today! I drove to the RBS and told them the story and they said they couldn't and wouldn't do anything. I argued with them for half an hour and they were completely unhelpful. I told them I did not believe that if you buy something from a company years ago, they can then take money out of your account illegally and the bank, the police, Trading Standards - nobody would help.
So I then spent then rest of the afternoon back on hold to 123-reg.co.uk on their premium rate number, got through and went mental. After they tried to say that it was my fault, I finally got them to remove my debit card details from their computer. They told me they'd send a refund request to their accounting department and I'll belive it when I see it.
The moral is: never deal with 123-reg.co.uk . Oh, and they DOUBLED their prices for all of their business customers in January for exactly the same service.

I have been supid enough to stay with this company for just over a year whilst starting a new business. They have caused moor sleepless nights than anything else.
Multiple faults with emails, website dissapearing, completely useless support who just close your questions despite them being unresolved. Misinformation from staff, the list goes on and on and on.
They really are the worst company I have ever encountered, I would give them less than 1 star if I could.

I called their call center after numerous attempts through the control panel (which was useless) and waited 40 mins (remember - I'm being charged 10p per minute to listen to music while I wait). Eventually I get through and subsequently I am told I will be contacted.
This never happened.
After sending about 100 messages through the control panel, I finally get told its because I have set up my DNS record incorrectly. This is of great interest to me as I have never touched the DNS records.
Either way, you will have to be plain stupid to use 123-reg to do anything for you.
Utter rubbish.
(I still haven't resolved the issue).

November 19, 2007 Steve ( -no email- ) | I have used 123 for several years for domain names without fault. More recently I set up a hosting account for a client and found that when we came into problems there was no support available whatsoever. We sent them dozens of emails and sat in telephone queues for over an hour before giving up on several occasions. When we did receive replies they were brief and badly thought out, they didn't solve our problem and there was no way we were going to resolve the issue. In the end I had to transfer the domain elsewhere and pay for a new hosting package myself. The job was delayed by about two months, I was out of pocket and my client was frankly furious.
I made the mistake of trying to set up another quick hosting package with 123-reg for a client the other day and although I was billed the account was not set up at all. I know I will never get anything back from 123 so have simply moved my business elsewhere. Again I am out of pocket. I will never use 123 again.
PS. To top it off they also renewed a domain name I had with them automatically with my credit card. I neither asked for this or wanted it. I didn't even ask them to keep a record of my card details... SHOCKINGLY BAD!
