holy crap, stay away from these guys. most of the positive messages on this forum are canned and obviously from them. ive been with them for 2 months, and my downtime has been horrible. all of a sudden, its taking 30 seconds for the site to resolve correctly and start showing. it times out quite often. this equals a death sentence on the internet.
the support has been absolutely horrible. the quickest response time ive had has been 3 days minimum, even with putting my tickets on "critical". every time ive called them it hits a voicemail, and like someone else said, this is some pet project from a college student.
ive had file user/group permissions errors almost constantly, the site hardly ever loads, and they dont respond quickly at all on customer service. the worst part is, you wait days for a response and its usually an unhelpful comment like "try it now, and let me know". which takes another 3 or 4 days for a response. it would be quicker to learn server setups, hack into it, and fix it yourself.
STAY AWAY. DONT BUY THE CANNED POSITIVE RESPONSES ON THIS BOARD. HE'S JUST POSTING THEM TO COUNTERACT ALL THE BAD EXPERIENCES

The service started off very well but it keeps getting worse. I was told: "If you want normal / good speed you have to purchase a bigger package!"
Never, I cannot trust them with my small pages and I won't purchase the bigger one. There are better solutions out there. What is an instant chat worth if nothing is happening for 8 DAYS ... this is certainly a down - time that is not acceptable. (And then I had to transfer my own data and found 3rd party data on my own database!!)
NEVER AGAIN!

I signed up with this mob about a month ago.
The pages hosted with them take an age to load sometimes, and the customer support is far from efficient. Takes an average of 3 emails to get a response.
Cheap prices and good features within the control panel, you get what you pay for... STAY AWAY!

I have been a customer of 247-host.com and I feel I have been a smart to select them. Hosting with them have been peace of mind as I am free now from many day to day issues I used to have many a times with other hosts.
Cost is pretty low and hosting is fine, so nothing stopping me to recommend it around.

They will take your money, service will be great for about 2 months,
and then the servers crash for several days or run very slow.
Their phone is always answered by an answering machine.
This is NOT a real company.
Just a part time business for a graduate student guy named VIC.
Use godaddys hosting service, competitive and reliable.

Joined 247-host.com after reading lot of things about them here and there. Some people staying with them for a year and saying they are worst with tons of downtime etc(how come the customer stays with a very very bad company for a year).
Also saw the uptime at http://www.webhostingstuff.com/uptime/247Hostcom.html which is a monthly uptime record since 2005 by an independent source, so i went ahead with 247-host.com and I do not think I made a mistake. It has been a decent hosting so far, nothing wrong, not abrupt, its working smooth with me so I find no reason for not recommending them.

www.247-host.com has cheap prices, and ZIPPO customer service.
When their servers crash, you need help fast!!
This doesn't happen here.
Their Customer Service is always on Vacation, It takes 5-7 days for email replies.
NEVER, Never use a a web host that hides their WHOIS "Contact" info.
Or hides behind Email Tickets - that never get answered.
CALL, Call them - If they don't answer the phone--- move on to the next vendor.
Real Hosting Companies ALWAYS answer the phone during the day.
Do not accept a voice mail recording that states: "all agents are currently busy....".
247-host is run by a graduate Indian student who thinks he's doing you a favor.
People from India have a different type of mind set than Canadians or USA.
Truly hope this review was informative, and saves you grief, and lost business.

I am very happy with them. 247-host.com has proved to be a good choice for shared and dedicated servers.( I heard they have vps now). I never had a problem work ting with them. I had dealt with numerous other hosting companies in Canada as well as USA who made me feel stupid for asking questions, here I was heard and replied back.
They seem to be well in touch with their work.
I would not hesitated to recommend 247-host.com to my friends and family.

I found 247-host.com in one of the Canadian web hosting forums. General impression I had about hosting is that the cheapest web hosting providers are not best hosting providers as well. Yet when I could find adequate means of customer support in terms of phone support, on line chat services and a support ticketing system integrated I decided to go ahead with 247-host.com.
247-host is affordable web host out there , with uptime over 99%.
Response to technical support issues and the general attitude towards dealing customers is good with 247-host.
I have never had a billing issue with them. I'd refer anyone looking for a reseller account.

I've been using many host services and 247-host is the worst host service, they have high downtime, bad customer support and they suspended my account without any notice. Its money back guarantee is false. I have migrated all my clients to hostgator that is really good. I don't recommend 247-host at all, be careful. my main domain is unegocios.com and is still down :(

Some time back I looked only on cost when I was searching hosting companies, but having spend some time with 247-host.com I realize that the peace of mind one gets with a good quality host cannot be compared with cost. Not to say that 247-host.com are expensive, in fact they are amazingly cheap for the service level they offer.
If I would own a hosting company, I would run it in a manner as run by 247-host.com, I think thats the best I can describe them. "

Excellent hosting company. I am very happy with them. 247-host.com is a good choice for both amateurs and experienced users. It’s a pleasant surprise that there is not any noticeable downtime. We have not had any problems with the mysql server since we moved to them about 6 months back. 247-host despite offering one of the lowest cost in web hosting business, maintains a very high standard of customer support where a friendly atmosphere is the norm.

I had dealt with numerous other hosting companies in Canada as well as USA who made me feel stupid for asking questions and then refused to offer a suitable answer. After having my fears abated by the sales department I was pleased to find the technical support was just as nice, they were very helpful and I never felt degraded in dealing with them. I do not remember to have any issues related to uptime or lazy customer support or any thing else in my 5 months experience with them. What amazes me is that they are surely one of the lowest cost hosting service providers in the industry.

I was looking to host my website and came across their company. Read some bad reviews so I was a little skeptical but when I went to their website and clicked on Live Chat..there was a sales agent sitting to answer all my questions at 1am at night. He was very helpful and convinced me to give them a try and I did. I haven't been dissappointed with their server uptime or tech support for the past 6 months that I have been with them. I guess it is not always good to go by what other people say. For what I pay I couldn't be more satisfied. Try them. Jean Francois
