They bill all the time for services not ordered and bill for canceled accounts. Beware before you succumb to the low price. You will regret it later and then remember this comment.

I'm with Globat since they started. business. I'm happy and proud that I was one of their first customers. I am exceedingly happy that I get a very good service at a cost effectient price. They host six sites for me. I never have a problem. Everything runs moothly.
I have noted some adverse reviews, which no doubt has alarmed me and prompted me to investigate all aspects of my dealings Globat LLC and its positive well known and established CEO, Mr. Ben Neumann. I became involved in website production, promotion, optimisation and marketing back in 2000. I am self taught - learned the hard way. I know what I am talking about at this stage of my existence. After a thirty six year career in the police service it is not easy to pull the wool over my eyes.
I have taken an indepth look into some of the less than remarkable reviews that have been made here and on other review sites. It is obvious that most come from people who decided to try and start a career/business on the Internet, with great intentions, but it all became overlming. I'm by no means wealthy but, when you see someone complain about a couple of legitimately charged dollars - I will say no more. One must stay on top of their business. I know it is easy to miss out on e-mails what with all the spam and sometimes erratic anti-spam measures. It is obvious that they never read their e-mails from Globat, terms of service, etc., because I have founlobat to be very very honest, without question.
I am exceedingly happy to have Globat.com power my web hosting packages. One very particular highlight, which is very pleasing to me is that I easily and consistently attain number one search engine results on Google, Yahoo, MSN and indeed all the main search engines through my Globat hosting. This is exceptionally remarkable.
If you are serious about hosting your website, either employ someone to set it up and maintain it for you or if you decide to do it yourself make sure that you basically know what you are doing and give it your utmost attention.
Count yourself lucky to have an exceptional cost effective hosting company such as Globat LLC to power your website.
My I conclude in referring to a recent serious Globat outage. The fast professional way in which it was handled is to be admired. For something like this to happen to a hosting organisation is really embarrasing but Murphy's Law being Murphy's law these things do happen and indeed to the largest corporations in the world. What struck me most of all though about this occurrence was the absolute honesty in which it was handled by the staff and senior management at Globat. Well done folks. Honesty is what really counts.
I hasten to add I have no commercial/business connections other than an affinity program or hold shares with Globat LLC for those who may think I have by the tone of my letter herein. This is off the cuff stuff written before Mass on a beautiful morning in the land of Saints and Scholars and that of the Tiger Economy - Irelandand.

Horrible.
CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENTS all the time, and you'll find that Globat is charging you with all kinds of futures that you never wanted. They say No Hidden Charges, No add ons , but I found $50 charge for their stupid promopak software that i never needed,used, asked, wanted and definitely not ordered.
I payed 90-some dollars for this 3rd year of service, and even chose not to take all this stupid things, and they charged me month later for an extra software "to help me out" in the building of my website.
I call them today, spoke with Eric, and he said that i can remove the service but i cannot get money back ?!?!? and then when i asked few more question he hanged up. Called him back and said in really nice voice that he just hang up on me, he just continued "being professional". I asked CAN I CANCEL THE SERVICE, he said yes but i CANNOT get any money back.( i should get money back for 10 months) . Asked for prorated version he said no.Then I spoke with supervisor Paul ( probably last name Snake :), and he said that in 2005 ( today is 2007), i agree with some invoice (small letter scam) and what not that i will manually and regularly remove from the website all this kind features every single year ( not just choosing it when you are paying it) and only then they will not charge me. I asked to cancel the service but, he said i can but $150 bucks stay with them. At the end i asked " Do you know any other hosting company that you can recommend that does do scamming people like you " ?
He even got pissed and said that he will not even go and try to answer that question.
Bottom line, STAY AWAY, unless you don't mind them purchasing stuff for you with your Credit card.
IMPORTANT, I called my credit card company, and they removed $50 bucks charge, and their dispute deppartment will deal with them. Will see what will come out of it. Good Luck to all of you.....

I am not going to praise Globat here; I just want to tell you about my experience with this hosting provider. I have had 2 websites for a long time now, almost 7 years, and I have always been looking for the best provider. I am not the kind of guy who stays loyal to one and the same company just because it is cool to use a popular brand. Say I will never buy Nike shoes because I know I can buy the same quality 3 times cheaper but without a name. In the same way I was looking for a hosting provider not with a name but with a good price and decent services. I must say the best thing to decide whether a product is good or bad is to try it. You can never rely on adverts as they are usually a crap, although not always. That is how I signed up for Calivista Hosting, later I tried Startlogic Hosting and then Dot5 Hosting provider. I will not say they are disgusting; however I had some problems with each of them and therefore signed out and looked for a new hosting provider. That is how I eventually signed to Globat. Of course, with the years the service in the other hosting providers may have also improved, but with Globat I had the least of problems. That is not to say, that Globat is impeccable, but the problems there are much minor in comparison with what I had at other providers.
I can surely remember a time, when the e-mail didn’t work for a few hours, but they have live support. I used it and the customer support said they were upgrading it with new features. The in a few hours the mail was up and running and it was even better and quicker than before. Therefore, I don’t mind upgrading, if that improves the services. Can’t think of anything else, which was bad, right now, although I have been with this company for 14 months now. Of course, if Globat becomes worse, I will be looking for a new provider, but right now everything is fine, and I love the price.

I was with Globat for 4 years. The reason I was with them for so long was because I prepaid 2 years in advance for considerable discounts. I've since switched to another hosting company that offers better performance for roughly the same price.
My major beef with them is over performance. The servers are super slow and bandwidth wasn't all that great in my experience (remember - four years of this). I primarily used them for email, but once I began using the web space I really notice how slow it was (several seconds just to load a simple text page).
Customer service is also pretty bad. Every time there was a problem I'd receive the same scripted response. It was so bad I just stopped calling and let problems work themselves out.

I liked Globat. It was my first web hosting experience, and I should say I thought I would have many problems with that... as I was mostly unaware of the process and never dealt with hosting before. However, Globat proved that everything is easy and quick. What I liked most, was low price of the services - in comparison to other companies.
Good job, guys! I am fully sattisfied.

The Pits.
I have had to use an alternative e-mail address owing to unresolved problems and down times. The download speeds have slowed to 30k/sec on a good day. My site contains large downloadable files so sending smoke signals would be more effective than using Globat. Customer support consists of sending the same one-size-fits-all form e-mail stating that they are "aware of the problem" with no useful information or timetable. The service continues to deteriorate with each passing month.

RUN AWAY! I have submitted emails, help tickets and even tried the online chat and have yet to hear from ANYONE? I have tried to cancel my account for three months. Now I am trying desparately to move my domain name and I do not even have access to that info. God-willing I will be done with this company before they try to automatically renew my account. The web design software was awful and extremely limited. Speed was slow. It was really a billing scam where periodically your credit card was billed for "upgrades" without your authorization. I have requested refunds and cancellation. We'll see what happens....

At first, I thought it couldn't get any worse, then when it did, I thought this is as bad as it can be, then they proved me wrong again.
Globat seems like a great value. As long as you don't ever need tech support and you don't mind sporatic email interuptions.
But that isn't the worst of it. They charged my credit card for an extra service 2 months ago that I never ordered. After calling BanglaPakIndianesia, a couple of times, they gave me my money back. Fine.
Then this week they charged me again! I'm calling to get my money back, AGAIN and then calling a different web hosting company.

I saw their "free hosting" ad on the million dollar homepage. Asked, then they said I need to Mail them the order, not E-mail, but Mail. I sent the Mail, they refuse to open the account, and kept persuading me to go for paid hosting. At last they opened the account, and their server's like...reboots 6 times a day. Pure horrible!

These people are the scum of the earth. They will take any opportunity to apply fees to your account, whether you've fulfilled the ridiculous fine print on their contract or not, and then send your account to predatory collection agencies when you do not comply.
Do not purchase at any cost. I wish I had read a little more about them before I got tied up with this cowboy outfit.

Do not purchase server space from Globat web hosting service!
Glob@t practices what I consider to be unfair business methods. If you sign up for a year, you will find that at the end of that year, without so much as a renewal letter, they will bill you for an additional year. A couple of days later, they will cut off your service.
If you call them to cancel, they will not communicate that there is only ONE way to cancel, to use their cancellation request form. You will think that you are officially cancelled.
Six months later, without so much as sending you a bill, they will submit you to collections, for the amount of $267.45. Glob@t’s rate is $94.45/year.
Furthermore, their server is constantly down. They tout a transfer rate of 80-120k, and it is actually below 40k. Their technical support is horrible. Their trouble tickets, in my opinion, are as worthless as spam. Business web hosting and ecommerce with this company is not affordable web hosting if they lack support.
I strongly suggest using other domain hosting plans, such as at http://www.ipowerweb.com.

I finally quit Globat after almost 2 years of hosting with them. Their server is down most of the time. If it is not down, it is usually very slow. And email are virtually not existing!
The worst part is if you have any problem, forget about the customer support, since they will not response to you if you problem seems 'difficult' for them.
I am shocked that Globat are so terrible. I have finally make up my decision to quit.

BAIT AND SWITCH! BAIT AND SWITCH!
When I signed up for service with globat, the sales rep told me that my download speeds would range between 80-120k
I have NEVER gotten above 40K EVER!
I have tried at all times of the day from at least 5 different networks, all with the same painful results.
after waiting on support chat for 45 min the support rep "cindy" told me that it's just the way it is. and that sales DOES NOT quote bandwidth.
so I called up the sales dep while I was still in the chat room with cindy, Brian in sales told me that the download speed was 100Mbits!! from 80-120k to 100Mbits?
I told that to the support rep and she basically sluffed me off and told me to contact the help desk.
DO NOT USE GLOBAT, THEY USE THE BAIT AND SWITCH scam

Globat is horrible. They acquired Entity Hosting which is equally bad...they are non existent when it comes to customer service. They have been double and triple billing me for months -- and getting it, because I was stupid enough to allow them to 'ding' my account each month.
If you're considering hosting...don't use these guys.
They've been impossible to reach via phone, trouble ticket and email for weeks now.
I'm so disgusted with them it's hard to describe.
Don't fall for the hype of their website...it's just a front for a billing scam.
