Hosting Zoom's multiple server cluster with failover is designed for two purposes— maximize website performance and eliminating prolonged downtime. Our enterprise level hosting is the same solution used to host high traffic mission critical websites.
Typical Standard Web Hosting
The majority of web hosting providers offer a setup with no redundancy. If the server your website is hosted on fails the end result will be prolonged downtime (hours and even days) until fixed. | | Landis Holdings Buys Hosting Zoom - October 22, 2008 - Web hosting provider Landis Holdings announced on Wednesday it has acquired Hosting Zoom (www.hostingzoom.com), which also includes its divisions, Reseller Zoom and modVPS.
According to the press release, Hosting Zoom customers will see "immediate benefits with no impact on their hosting plans."
Existing customers of Hosting Zoom will now have access to technologies from Landis Holding companies.
Houston-based Hosting Zoom provides a range of web hosting solutions, domain registration, Web design, SSL certificates and complimentary products and services. The company is best known for its clustered failover technology.
Hosting Zoom says its customers will be able to receive immediate benefits, including access to JaguarPC's enterprise license for R1Soft Continuous Data Protection.
"We are proud to welcome the users of Hosting Zoom, Reseller Zoom and modVPS to the family," says Greg Landis, president of Landing Holdings. "There will be zero impact to how existing customers conduct their business. We want to simply turn our focus inwards and look to invest in increasing support and development personnel immediately. JaguarPC and Hosting Zoom are already profitable so the goals are simple moving forward, leave what works alone and bring extra equipment online now in anticipation of the greater demand."
Landis Holdings provides hosting solutions and business services to small and medium-sized businesses, government agencies, prominent individuals and non-profit organizations worldwide.

( heireann15(at)hotmail(dot)com ) | I have been with hostingzoom for about 3 months after a series of outages with my previous host I decided to move my accounts to the failover option with hostingzoom, in the 3 months I have had 2 outages (failover should allow for 100% uptime), whm and cpanel were not set up correctly so you have to keep opening support tickets to get everything activated, ftp is very slow and connections are unreliable, domain names do not resolve correctly, I think I have now opened as many support tickets with hostingzoom in 3 months as I had with my previous host over 2 years. The support really give the impression that they have no idea what they are doing. Stay clear, the poorest host I have come across

I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality featured hosting at a great price. Not the cheapest but good value.

Jackson t ( iic4mail at rocketmail dot com ) | Hosting zoom and reseller zoom are the same company that lacks any support. you can not contact billing or support by phone. they do offer a live chat support, but it's not really support, the tech tells you to send an email. Email are responded to in about 72 hours! yes that's 3 days. Use gmail or yahoo for hosting.
