They charge me again and again even after an account cancellation... after 1 year they still try to make payment to my old credit card and they nevey stop!! They try it everyday! So think about it! I prepaid 3 month and use the server 2 week after that i cannot use the server... lot of bug and the support was not free from the company. So i decided to cancel it but they dont and try to charge again an again. So NEVER give your credit card info to that fraud company! Believe me...

I stopped doing business with them in 2004, paid in full. In 2006 they started harassing me about an unpaid invoice. It wasted a lot of my time and was very frustrating.
I just got another email from them threatening to report me to the credit reporting agencies because of an unpaid invoice! It's been 5 years!
I gave them zero on everything because no amount of features or control panel quality is worth doing business with a company like this!

Anyway, now, after more then a year, I see my credit card has been charged 97$, a week ago. I've heard they just don't want to forget the credit card details of their ex-members, but stupid me I did believed it. Now I'm burned, tomorrow morning I'll run straight to the bank and cancel the CC.
Also, I entirelly agree with Clemente Zamora.
Save your money and stay away from serverpronto, they scam.

ServerPronto provides no technical support whatsoever, their "technical" staff knows nothing about computers, they are only qualified to reboot the machines (which you have to wait for them to do, there is no automatic reboot),
ServerPronto makes continuous billing mistakes (always to their advantage), and it takes months for them to fix them (if they ever do),
ServerPronto takes down your servers for any reason and without warning,
And more important, ServerPronto will try to steal your money from you with bogus invoices after you have settled down with them so it's a pain for you to move to another host.
They also insist on a lot of paperwork for cancelation which is only intended to allow them to keep billing you and bugging you forever.

( carlos at variosweb dot com ) | Después de 4 años con un servidor básico de ServerPronto y a pesar de haber leído en la web muchas malas impresiones, mi experiencia con esta compañía ha sido muy buena.
A principios de este año he alquilado un segundo servidor dedicado y estaba un poco preocupado por la cancelación, pero ayer he enviado por fax el formulario de cancelación para el primer servidor y en un par de horas, estaba cancelado y todo perfecto.
Este segundo servidor va de maravilla, el anterior iba bien, pero este es más potente y está mucho más optimizado con FreeBSD 7.2 (he realizado el upgrade desde 7.0), Nginx, Mydql 5, PHP 2.5.2 con APC, con IPTables y sin ningún servicio innecesario. He eliminado con respecto al anterior BIND (gestiono los DNS's desde Godaddy con los que llevo 10 años), servidor de mail ya que utilizo Google APP for your domain, servidor de ftp (conexiones sólo por SSH con certificado).
Gestiono las diversas conexionas SSH con screen para retomar sesiones, utilizo como CDN Google APP Engine para las imágenes, css y javascript y casi no hay conexiones a la BD por parte de los clientes, ya que se van generando las páginas dinámicas mediante diversos cron mediante curl y diversas optimizaciones más, con lo que el servidor va genial, por lo menos desde España (este servidor está en Panamá a diferencia del anterior de USA).
Mi experiencia ha sido magnífica, pero eso sí, debes de hacer todo tu y que conste que no tengo nada que ver con ServerPronto, pero mi experiencia ha sido muy buena.

They will never stop charging your credit card even though you cancel the service. They will say they never received your cancellation letter, they can't find the faxes you send to them. They would never agree to cancel even the server have not been used for months, you will have to have your credit card company involved and they will use any trick in the book, in the crooks book, to hold on to their money.

DAR ( dru at artyplace dot com ) | I have'nt actually subscribed to a hosted server or VPS from Serverpronto but I have suscribed to mpronto (hosted exchange) which is infolink too. Its exactly the same people who manage support in serverpronto.
firstly I would like to say that I am no longer a subscribor but unfortunately I can't cause these guys keep billing me for my hosted exchange account. Not only this the billing amount is going up increments of n+1 i.e. my subsciption goes up by last months plus this month fee. I've called them numerous time (plus tickets opened) and rude is one word i would use. The girl in support basically told me that their system didn't show over billing therefore I was lying. Even though I had my credit card statements in front of me she still said that they were'nt over billing. She was pretty dumb I have to say (I wouldn't normally make that statement about any one without strong reason)
secondly, I can access every other companies email address (using hosted exchange that is) therefore there's obvious security and spam considerations here. I know exactly what they've done wrong but I'm not going to tell them until I expose them in a suitable forum.
I really can't express my utter disgut at this companies approach to their customers, I've had nothing but frustration and I believe that if a customer complains they just ingnore them. I've been extremely patient with them by giving them time to resolve my billing issue before getting onto them again but they just keep on getting it wrong and not giving a crap.
DO NOT GO WITH SERVERPRONTO / MPRONTO. You've been warned.

Former Customer ( gbear14275[at]aol[dot]com ) | These guys do great on the price... not so much with the customer service. Staff can be rude and unresponsive and their support website is problematic. If you want cheap hosting... your good to go... if you want a "managed" solution... better bring the management. Satisfaction is the customers responsibility here.
BTW... Cancelation IS a joke... I'm going to try to call up my credit card agency and tell them I do NOT authorize any further charges to the card. I figure after they figure out that they aren't getting paid anymore they will cut off the servers... sucks to be them.

I've been trying to get them to stop billing for some time now, but they insist on a detailed form, photo ID, copy of credit card, and will require you to do it all over if you make a mistake. The address of their cancellation form is incorrect, so even if you get everything right, it will come back to you unopened. What a racket.

Support is only there when they feel like it. My dedicated server was slower than my $5 a month shared hosting plan with another company.
The cancellation procedure is ridiculous. So much hassle - it looks like I'm going to have to cancel my credit card to get them to stop billing.
Horrible, avoid at all costs.

I agree with most of the reviews here server pronto sucks BAD!
At first it seems good until you see that yes thier server uptimes may be good, but they are slower than my 9 and 10 ywear old kids computers. And thier internet conenction is slow or saturated or something.
Then when you try to cancel they demand a 30 day written notice and on a form which asks more informatuion than they asked when you signed up.
And if you dont renew they charge a $300 non payment fee for not renewing.
Forget trying to email them it has taken me 6 weeks to get a response.
And I only got a response after I started forwarding thier lame 15 emails a week back to them for a few weeks.
Email them 30 times and they may respond. This place is by far the worst place I have ever hosted anything in 15 years.
If it was free, It would be ok but this crappy place isn't worht paying $30 a month for.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

( insectcollector(at)gmail(dot)com ) | Okay, so I bought a dedicated server from serverpronto becasue they seemed so cheap...but I guess the price reflected the package I got.
When I signed up I was told it would be 24 hours for my account to be active...so 24 hours when my account was not active, I opened up a support ticket saying my account was not active. One day after, I received a reply (yes, a whole day), saying they were sorry, and it should be processed soon. Anyway, the following evening my account was finally active, which in total took 3 days.
So, I follow the instructions on my email to log into the contol panel, and it said username and password not accepted! So, again, I opened up a support ticket, and told them my problem. For the second time, I had to wait a whole day for my reply, when they explained that there was a problem with the username and password I had assigned, and they had reset it. No appology or anything from them.
Wow, 4 days later and I was able to login to my account. It was quite complex, first time using webmin so I was just getting to know my way around. About 20 minutes of configuring a few settings on it, it came up as page not displayed. Anyway, tried it the next day, on different browsers, PC's, etc, and still came up as page not displayed. So, I went to file another support ticket. But...in the process, I was then told I had used up my allocated 2 support tickets per month, but had the option of buying more support tickets! Well, I was fuming. After paying the $103 for the first month and the setup costs, I felt I was being taken for a ride.
So, time to cancel my account. Looked at the terms and conditons, and for me to cancel my account, I had to print of a cancellation form, fill it out, photocopy the front and back of my debit card, photocopy my passport, and mail it to them! All of this, just to cancel my account. But, once the account was cancelled, this was not over. They claim it takes 30 days to cancel an account, in which time the following months payment WILL be processed to your card. So, in total, I would have paid $133 for a dedicated server, that was nothing but dedicated.
Anyway, if you have read this far, I hope you can see that I am slightly annoyed, and the best advice I can offer you, is DO NOT USE SERVERPRONTO. They are the most unreliable, money guzzling hosting company I have ever met. Shame I hadn't read up all of the other bad reviews about them before I bought my account.

Kevin ( presidentus[at]gmail[dot]com ) | I am a UNIX sysadmin , (for 11 years) , and know what I am doing also to create a stable working web serving enviroment .
OK , well , I thought their Cheap , however they explain this is due to economies of scale .. Well , dont believe it They lie! .. heres what they do ..
They supply you unstable hardware (which locks up / reboots itself at least 3 - 4 times per month) ,, they then take upto 36 hours to reboot a server that has locked up .... Then they charge yo $29 for the privelage of getting the reboot (yes per reboot) .
Also , if you wish to contact them about any issue , dont bother trying to call them.... They have an answering service on the west cost , that forward 'messages' to them in Florida .. So , you use the helpdesk system , however , if you raise more than three tickets per month , then you get slammed with $15 per ticket (remember you cant call them , and you may be wanting to inform them of some severe network outages , etc ... it costs you ! )
To begin with , it seems that they do not run these charges on new customers ,(as they would be out the door quicker than a quick thing ) , however they wait a few months , untill you are in a false sence of security , then whammo , the charges start to roll in ,,, and theres nothing you can do about it .
They could have been so good , however , they are THE worst thing you could do , if you require 'Cheap Reliable Dedicated Hosting' .. Look elsewhere , please , I wish I did before I was stung for over a thousand dollars (I did have a few servers with them!) of *charges* for poor service, and poor quality.
Im not ranting here , only giving a real life insight as to how the "Most Affordable Dedicated Server" provider runs its business model (ps , your also locked in for upto 60 days in their TOS , and need to write to them to cancell ...) .. Save yourself some sleepless nights , and some $$$ , choose another hosting provider ...
